Tanushri Shukla

Tanushri Shukla is a Manager in GDI South Asia’s Strategy & Build team where she focuses on initiatives enabling the circular economy, dignified livelihoods and micro-entrepreneurship. Over the past decade, Tanushri has worked with organizations like UNDP, Intellecap and Enviu on designing and implementing long-term programmatic initiatives focused on waste management and inclusive livelihoods for informal waste workers. She also founded Chindi, India’s first social enterprise addressing textile waste management through livelihoods for low-income craftswomen. Prior to that, she worked as an editor, digital strategist and product manager with agencies, publishing houses and tech startups in India, the US and the UK. Tanushri did her Master’s in Digital Publishing from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Outside work, she can usually be found reading, crocheting, and struggling to learn the piano.
