Suhani Mohan

Suhani Mohan is an Advisory Board member of GDI South Asia and an impact investor and healthcare entrepreneur committed to advancing social and planetary well-being.

As Director of Impact Investing at Silicon Valley Social Ventures (SV2), she leads early-stage investments across climate, health, education, and economic empowerment, while building partnerships to strengthen the impact investing ecosystem. She is also a founding convener of the Bay Area South Asians Climate Association (BASACA), focused on accelerating climate partnerships across South Asia and the U.S.

Suhani co-founded Saral Designs, a National Entrepreneurship Award-winning social enterprise addressing menstrual health through decentralized manufacturing. Under her leadership, Saral scaled to 150+ entrepreneurs in 13 countries, improving menstrual hygiene access for over one million people. Saral’s model was featured in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, EY & Acumen’s Inclusive Business Playbook, and Gates Open Research.

After transitioning into climate investing, Suhani led the Environment Fund at ACT Capital Foundation and worked at Energy Innovation Capital, investing in deep-tech energy and climate solutions.

Suhani has been named one of Forbes India’s Top 25 Trailblazing Women in Business, Business Today’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Impact, and is the recipient of the Young Alumni Achiever Award from IIT Bombay. She has given two TEDx talks: on decentralized health innovation at IIT Bombay and on integrating traditional practices with modern tech for climate at Stanford. Suhani holds an MBA from Stanford GSB and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science from IIT Bombay.
