Shriya Bubna
Shriya joins us as a Manager in GDI South Asia’s Strategy & Build team, and will be leading our efforts on the Grassroots Circular Waste Collaborative (GCWC).
Shriya brings 14 years of experience across innovative finance, development consulting, and program management. She offers an integrated perspective on complex development challenges, shaped by her work with leading impact-driven organisations including KOIS, Oxford Policy Management, Aretè Advisors (now part of Bain & Company), ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, and the World Resources Institute.
Previously at KOIS, she led the design of blended finance solutions at the intersection of economic inclusion, financial innovation, and systems change. Shriya is deeply committed to supporting locally led solutions and strengthening the evidence base for scaling through innovative financing mechanisms.
She holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Outside of work, she is an avid heritage enthusiast, often found conducting heritage walks and curating book hunts across Mumbai.
