Senior Associate – GDI South Asia

Sharanya joins GDI South Asia as a Senior Associate in the Strategy & Build team. Based in India, she supports two impactful initiatives: Leapfrog to Value (L2V), focused on delivering compassionate and high-quality care in LMICs, and the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN), committed to driving systemic changes for youth economic opportunities. In her role, Sharanya engages with diverse stakeholders, supports initiative delivery, and manages various internal functions.

Prior to joining GDI, Sharanya worked for over six years in the development sector in India, dedicating her career to addressing complex social problems through initiatives focused on innovation, strategic philanthropy, and capacity building. She made significant contributions across various multidisciplinary areas, including Education, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Women, and Youth Empowerment, with organisations such as Dasra, Educate Girls, Saral Designs, and Kaivalya Education Foundation. A recent graduate in Gender, Development, and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Sharanya possesses a fervent commitment to gender rights and justice. She aspires to integrate this passion and perspective into her role at GDI.
