Judy Mukiri Muketha is a seasoned finance professional with over 10 years of experience across different industries including construction, microfinance, logistics, and NGOs.

Before joining GDI, Judy worked as a Senior Associate Accounts for Fresh Life Initiative where she supported the noble mission of providing safe and affordable sanitation to the informal settlement in the Kenyan Counties of Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Mombasa by providing non-sewer-toilets. This fulfilling mission improved livelihoods in the urban informal settlements by ensuring proper human waste management that in turn improved health and environment preservation.

Judy was instrumental in the implementation and migration of finance processes to a new ERP system and ensured all the customer and vendor balances were correctly transitioned to the new system. She formulated a finance department handbook with proper policies and procedures for all finance tasks and helped in coming up with a win-win credit policy, cash management policies, and bad and doubtful debt management policy. She also established proper internal and external stakeholder management by initiating collaborative team meetings that were productive and inclusive to manage floats requests, disbursement, and reconciliation gap.

Judy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management – Finance and Banking option from Moi University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). She is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance with Unicaf University of Zambia.

She loves traveling, reading, and attending social gatherings.
