Social enterprise leaders have limited professional development opportunities and risk burnout without clear pathways for personal exit – putting organizations and the sector at large, at risk. Tendrel is a global network that aims to architect an oasis for social impact leaders to flourish.
GDI’s role
GDI worked with leaders from Ashoka, Root Capital and Skoll Foundation to model a professional organization on the successful Young President’s Organization (YPO), but adapted to the unique needs and challenges of the social enterprise sector. The GDI team developed the initial strategy and business plan, created the initial communications materials, provided financial and operational support, and supported the initial program development, including setting up the first hubs.
