Cindy Lithimbi

Cindy has over ten years of international development and entrepreneurship experience with strong skills in project ideation, strategy, and project management. She has worked across non-profit, corporate philanthropic, and private sectors on the design and delivery of youth employment, childcare, and education programmes.

In her previous role at Equity Group Foundation, Cindy transitioned a pilot project to a $2 million country-wide education programme, designed and launched the Group’s first holistic mentoring programmes for thousands of scholarship recipients. At global consulting firm Adam Smith International, Cindy led the design and delivery of advocacy and policy reform interventions with the newly devolved County Governments, increasing access to vocational training pathways for thousands of young people.

She has additional expertise in the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) and women’s economic empowerment-informed programming approaches. Cindy holds a MSc in Social Policy and Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Outside of work, you’ll find Cindy hanging out with her family and young children, kite-surfing, or cooking!
