Ylva Lindberg
Ylva Lindberg is a member of the GDI Americas board. Ylva’s career has been built on a conviction that the business and investment community is key to solving social and environmental problems. She is currently Executive Vice President of Strategy and Communication at Norfund, the Norwegian development finance institution, investing for impact in some of the world´s most difficult markets. Prior to this, she founded and led SIGLA, a boutique consultancy, worked for McKinsey & Company, as an equity analyst at the life insurance company KLP, and marketing professional with the FMCG company Orkla. She is currently a non-executive director at the global medical equipment company Lærdal Medical, a senior associate at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and a member representing the public on the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission. Previous positions of responsibility include Member of Council on Ethics for the Norwegian oil fund, the world´s largest sovereign wealth fund, board chair of the World Wide Fund for Nature – Norway, board member of the family office CentraGruppen and member of the BMO GAM Responsible Investment Advisory Council. She is based in Norway, but currently living in Kenya with her husband and three children.
