Susan Kimani

Susan is the GDI Africa Finance Officer. She has over 10 years of experience as an ardent Finance &
Accounting Professional with in-depth knowledge, experience and skills in coordinating and
implementing finance functions in all areas of accounting and finance management. Prior to joining GDI
Susan was a Senior Accountant at Pula Advisors Ltd where she assisted in setting up the accounts
department established financial processes, managed financial reporting for 4 entities i.e. Kenya,
Nigeria, Zambia and Switzerland, was responsible for all finance-related matters for over 10 grants
including BMGF (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Shell Foundation, Mercy Corps, MasterCard
Foundation, Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI) among others.

Previously she worked at General Electric–East Africa in different roles where she was actively
involved in financial reporting, process improvements, financial management, internal controls,
commercial operations among others.

Susan holds Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, (Finance & Accounts), and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of ICPAK
