Senior Associate – GDI South Asia
Niraj is part of GDI South Asia’s Strategy & Build team, and based out of Mumbai, India. In this role, he brings his cross-sectoral experience towards discovering potential strategic opportunities across social impact, designing interventions before building them and exiting the venture. He strongly believes that focused, catalytic and system driven changes are key to making the world a better place.
Prior to joining GDI, Niraj co-founded a consumer electronics startup (Kreo) focused on empowering content creators and gamers with premium yet affordable equipment, where he drove brand development, market strategies and digital marketing as CMO. He has contributed significantly to the Global Tuberculosis team at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in Laos, managing initiatives across pivotal regions in Asia and Africa. A graduate of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, Niraj started his career in consulting at Bain & Company, tackling diverse sectors like PE, Consumer Goods, FMCG, and the public sector. At the core, he is an explorer – of cultures, places, people, and food. He is a geography nerd and a huge FC Barcelona and football fan.
