Madhumitha Hebbar

As a Manager at GDI South Asia, Madhumitha supports the Migrants Resilience Collaborative (MRC) in building systems change initiatives and measuring their impact. At MRC, she is exploring what works at scale in helping millions of internal migrant workers in India access their social benefits cheaper, faster, and better. 

Prior to this, Madhumitha worked as a social protection specialist for eight years independently as well as with Oxford Policy Management. She led research initiatives and evaluations to support governments and multilateral agencies in delivering the universal social protection agenda across South Asia, South-East Asia and Southern Africa. Madhumitha has a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Outside of work, she can be found reading, cooking and taking walks with her dogs.
