The Cooperation Game

Polarization is increasing, putting inclusive societies and democracy at risk in the US and around the world. The Cooperation Game to Combat Polarization is exploring approaches that would increase cooperation across divided groups and build a bridge for civic engagement. The effort is based on the evidence-based research and quiz game developed by Professor Joshua Greene from Harvard Psychology, which has shown sustained improvements in goodwill across partisan divides.

GDI’s role

GDI is working to take successful results in the lab out into the field. We have sourced the interim CEO and team, as well as the technology developer to build the prototype. We have defined the initial pathways to scale, building partnerships with universities, companies and others, and managing the initial pilots with these institutions.
