There is enormous potential for digital technologies to save lives, extend the reach of healthcare services and reduce healthcare costs. However, while thousands of pilots have been implemented, many countries face persistent challenges in implementing sustainable digital health solutions at scale. HealthEnabled is a network of neutral and trusted connectors who seek to catalyze the use of digital technologies to strengthen health systems and work closely with governments in low and middle income countries. Since its founding in 2014, HealthEnabled has facilitated or contributed to development of both national and large health organizational digital health strategies.
GDI helped the founders develop their strategy and create their pitch materials to raise their initial funding. GDI also helped set up the new entity in South Africa and has continued to provide financial, operational, and communications support.
