health.enabled

There is enormous potential for digital technologies to save lives, extend the reach of healthcare services and reduce healthcare costs. However, while thousands of pilots have been implemented, many countries face persistent challenges in implementing sustainable digital health solutions at scale. Since its founding in 2014, health.enabled has facilitated or contributed to the development of both national and large health organizational digital health strategies. health.enabled convenes critical action at the intersection of whole person health, equity, and technology in everyday life to work toward a world that prioritizes health equity and wellbeing for those at risk of being excluded.
GDI’s role
GDI helped lay the strategic and organizational foundation for the first decade of health.enabled, including supporting the development of the Global Digital Health Monitor. GDI is now helping health.enabled pivot from a South African entity to a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a renewed strategy and vision.
