Dignity Restoration Project
The Dignity Restoration Project is a racial justice initiative that aims to compensate and seeks to restore the dignity of Detroiters who lost their homes due to unlawful property tax assessments that disproportionately affected Black homeowners. As a frontrunner among an emergent movement of reparations efforts across the USA, DRP may serve as a powerful case study and blueprint for kindred initiatives.

Supporting a Detroit-based board, GDI developed DRP’s strategy, established its operating model, and recruited its founding team.
