Village Input Fairs
Village Input Fair (VIF) addresses the critical challenge of agricultural input accessibility in sub-Saharan Africa, where rural farmers lack reliable access to essential supplies like fertilizers. By organizing one-day agriculture input fairs in rural villages, VIF coordinates demand into viable bundles, attracting input dealers to previously inaccessible markets. This model, backed by robust RCT evidence, is designed to scale sustainably, integrating local stakeholders into a self-sufficient agricultural input ecosystem.

GDI has provided comprehensive strategy, governance, operational, and fundraising support to VIF as it transitioned from a series of large research projects into a standalone organization capable of scaling rapidly.
