Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative (RSRI)
The Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative (RSRI) is a multi-stakeholder initiative to promote opportunities for refugees to become self-reliant and achieve a better quality of life, while simultaneously advocating for the full enjoyment of their rights. RSRI partners with NGOs, refugee-led and community-based organizations, governments, funders, academics, and UN agencies to drive sector-wide changes.
GDI’s role
GDI helped RSRI at a transitional moment to identify the best multi-stakeholder governance and operational structure for its next phase, after the founding partner organizations developed the refugee self-reliance index. We facilitated part of the transition to the new structure, which included creation of a multi-stakeholder steering committee.
