Project Wayfind

Unprecedented levels of wealth are creating substantial opportunities for high-impact philanthropic giving. Yet, there are persistent limits to actual deployment of resources, despite urgent societal and environmental demand. Project Wayfind aims to create a philanthropic navigation infrastructure that will help advisors activate ultra-high net worth philanthropists to generate high-impact philanthropic giving. The effort is currently piloting two approaches: navigation to collaborative funds and navigation within a single issue ecosystem, climate.

GDI’s role

GDI initiated a discovery effort to understand the barriers to philanthropic capital deployment and to explore potential solutions with partners. GDI senior advisors are now convening leaders in the philanthropic community to pilot and test out different approaches.
