GDI was proud to host the inaugural FIGH forum alongside Convergence from April 13-15, 2016. Financing and Innovation in Global Health (FIGH) is an independent initiative that aims to spark the deployment of blended finance, creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology to drive effective and transformative global health investment to address the world’s most complex global health challenges.
FIGH kicked off with the FIGH Forum 2016, a premier event that took place at the US Institute of Peace in Washington, DC alongside the World Bank Group’s annual spring meeting, and featured an action‐oriented series of town halls, interactive workshops, investment circles, interviews, and plenaries. The forum drew over 250 participants including government officials, investors, corporations, donor institutions, foundations, academic institutions, think tanks, developing country health practitioners, financing and technology innovators, and more.
